Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, also known mononymously as Jaden, is an American rapper and actor. Jaden started acting in 2006 when he was starred in The Pursuit of Happyness as Christopher, the son of Chris Gardner, Will Smith‘s character.
In 2010, Jaden started his music career. He rapped alongside Canadian singer Justin Bieber in the song “Never Say Never.” The song peaked at 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified 5× Platinum in the US.
Reasons Why Hollywood Hates Jaden Smith
1. Smith appears to be nothing more than a result of nepotism.
Jaden Smith has been chastised for being a terrible actor who only appears in films because of his father Will Smith’s reputation. People do not deem him as a hero material and thus question his stardom. He’s been dubbed a brat, a spoilt no-talent, and a disrespectful possessor of fame. For his performance on The Late Show With David Letterman, he’s been labeled “insufferable.”
2. Jaden’s colleagues refuse to work with him.
Several team members spoke against Jaden’s terrible behavior even during the filming of The Karate Kid. He was said to be overly outspoken, arguing with his coworkers, yelling, and causing shambles in the makeup rooms. Will, on the other hand, did not attempt to correct the situation as he and his wife chose an atypical approach to educating their children. They feel that their kids should be able to recognize what is right and wrong on their own and that adults should not meddle or penalize them. As a result, Jaden has always been able to do his own thing.
3. Jaden has an exaggerated sense of self-importance.
If there’s one factor Jaden Smith has going for him, it’s that he definitely believes in himself. In a twitter post, he described himself as “the future of music, photography, and filmmaking,” an assertion that enraged a lot of industry insiders. “Whoa, kid — why not worry about walking the dog and taking your SATs before you do all that,” a journalist for the New York Post said of Jaden’s high self-obsession.
4. Even though Jaden claims to be serious about music, he isn’t.
Jaden has stated multiple times that he intends to finish musical endeavors, but he never seems to complete them. He told his fans in 2016 that he wished to be a K-Pop star. Everything appeared to be in place, and Jaden even revealed that he would be releasing a K-pop track in the coming months. That song however, was never released. Jaden also announced in April 2017 that he, his sister, and his girlfriend were forming a music group. On Twitter, he even shared a sneak peek of a tune. That, too, never came to fruition. He appears to waste far too much time talking tough and far too little actually making things happen.
