Johnny Depp Is ‘Seriously Dating’ Lawyer Joelle Rich Who Repped Him In UK Amber Heard Defamation Trial

JOHNNY DEPP DATING UK LAWYER IN DEFAMATION TRIAL ... But Not Camille Vasquez

Johnny Depp is reportedly in a ‘serious’ relationship with a London-based attorney who represented him in his unsuccessful 2018 libel trial against British newspaper The Sun.

Rich is a partner at major international law firm Schillings – who also represent Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – and is currently going through a divorce from the father of her two children, whom she was married to when she worked with Depp, 59, four years ago.

‘Their chemistry is off the charts,’ an insider told UsWeekly, who first broke the story. ‘It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.’

Rich was not part of the legal team who represented him in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard earlier this year, and she had ‘no professional obligation for being’ in the courtroom with him, the site added, but she was present to show her ‘support’ for her boyfriend.

Rich is not to be confused with another pretty brunette lawyer he worked with, 38-year-old Camille Vasquez, who was a part of Depp’s team on the Heard defamation trial. She denied any romance.

New love? Johnny is reportedly dating an attorney named Joelle Rich, according to UsWeekly and TMZ. Rich represented the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor during the UK trial that he lost. Depp and Heard split in 2017 after tying the knot in 2015.

Us claimed that Depp’s relationship with Rich began ‘discreetly’ as they had dates at hotels so they could avoid busy restaurants where their romance could have been outed.

Rich is currently still wed to her husband but they are formally separated.

The brunette beauty is in the process of getting divorced, TMZ added. She and her estranged husband share two children.

Rich was seen chatting with Depp in Virginia in May during his trial with Heard, with whom he made the movie The Rum Diaries.

They seemed close as she was photographed outside the courtroom with the Charlie And The Chocolate Factory actor.

In her biography online it says she ‘works to defend [clients’] reputations against false and defamatory allegations in print, online, and on social media.’

A new romance: Us added that their romance began ‘discreetly’ as they had dates at hotels and not restaurants. Rich is married but now in the process of getting divorced, TMZ added. She and her estranged husband share two children. Seen in 2017

Her focus is to guard clients’ ‘privacy from unwarranted intrusion and media attention.’

For months it was speculated that Depp fancied another one of his lawyers: Vasquez. She repped the star in his Heard case.

But she said the rumour was ‘sexist.’ ‘It’s also an unethical charge being made,’ Vasquez told People in June.

‘It’s unfortunate and it’s disappointing, but at the same time it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.’

She is now a celebrity: The attorney was seen on September 10 in Beverly Hills

She also has a boyfriend named Edward Owen.

Depp filed two separate lawsuits about his relationship with Heard.

One was in June 2018 against The Sun. The publication called him a ‘wife beater’ as they took information from Heard.

The trial was in July 2020 but four months later, the U.K.’s High Court of Justice ruled that The Sun’s article was not libelous.

Rich said she ‘seriously questioned’ the U.K. judge’s decision and there were plans to appeal.

Then Depp sued Heard over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post where she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence.

In June, the jury ruled in favor of Depp and Heard was ordered to pay him $10.35 million in damages.

Depp claimed to have lost movie roles after Heard’s accusations that he abused her. But after he won the defamation case, he had a career resurgence.

His return to popularity was cemented when he appeared at the 2022 MTV VMAs in a moon suit.

“And I know that sounds weird but hence I’m making this video to say things are looking up and I’m back online.

“Weird s*** is going to start being posted here.”
