Paul McCartney while performing at Glastonbury festival played a clip featuring Johnny Depp.

Paul McCartney’s latest performance attracted criticism for playing a video of actor Johnny Depp. The singer and musician played at the Glastonbury festival on Saturday, where he also performed his 2012 song, My Valentine. During his performance, the song’s music video with Johnny and actor Natalie Portman played in the background. Many on social media reacted to Paul using Johnny’s footage at his gig, with some expressing ‘deep disappointment’ in the legendary singer.

Johnny Depp has been in news because of his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. As per reports, Paul also used the footage from the music video featuring Johnny, during his other recent concerts. In the black-and-white video, Johnny is seen playing the guitar. Many viewers and social media users said it was not the ‘cleverest’ thing to do, as people were still divided over the outcome of Johnny and Amber’s defamation trial.

Reacting to Paul playing Johnny’s clip at his latest concert, a Twitter user wrote, “Not the cleverest thing to do. Paul – such a contentious judgement and a great way to alienate those who are not comfortable with the trial outcome.” Another person wrote about the performance, which Paul dedicated to his wife Nancy Shevell, who was in the crowd, “Depp singing to McCartney’s love song to his wife feels a bit off key.” One person also tweeted, “Deeply disappointed in both Paul McCartney and Glastonbury for the Johnny Depp video. Feel like it goes against everything Glastonbury stands for.”

Meanwhile, some supported Paul for his choice to use Johnny’s clip. One person tweeted, “To see Paul McCartney showing support for Johnny Depp at Glastonbury was brilliant. Well done to everyone involved.”

Johnny had sued Amber for $50 million claiming she defamed him, when she called herself a victim of domestic abuse in a Washington Post essay she wrote in 2018. She counter-sued him for $100 million. The written order for Amber to pay Johnny $10.35 million in their defamation trial was passed on Saturday, days after the verdict was announced on June 1. Johnny was also asked to pay Amber $2 million.

She reportedly enjoyed a ‘flirty’ date with actor Sean Penn at the Sunset Tower Bar in Los Angeles on Saturday.

And Amber Heard, 31, looked deep in thought when she was pictured at the Silverlake Farmers’ Market the morning after.

Sporting tousled hair, it was the first sighting of the actress since she shared a bottle of red with Madonna‘s ex.

Penn-y for your thoughts! Amber Heard, 31, looked pensive at the Silverlake Farmers’ Market on Sunday, a day after she was reportedly spotted on “flirty” date with actor Sean, 57

Moving on? She reportedly enjoyed an ‘intimate’ date with actor Sean Penn at the Sunset Tower Bar in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Amber looked incredible in her casual get-up on Sunday, wearing a tan coloured cropped suede jacket and cropped jeans.

She wore one of her trademark cowboy hats and hid her eyes behind a pair of round-lens sunglasses.

Completing her look with a pair of black Alias Mae ankle boots, the ex-wife of Johnny Depp also carried a small black leather bag on one shoulder.

What a woman: Amber looked incredible in her casual get-up on Sunday, wearing a tan coloured cropped suede jacket, cropped jeans, and Alias Mae ankle boots.

Clutching her phone in her hand, perhaps she was waiting for a message from Sean as she enjoyed her solo day out.

She broke up with Tesla billionaire Elon Musk for the second time in February.

A source told Page Six after her date with Sean: ‘They looked like they were on a date. They shared a bottle of red wine and were flirty and intimate.

All over: Amber broke up with Tesla billionaire Elon Musk for the second time in February.

‘They were at times in deep conversation and at times laughing,’ added the insider.

The source continued that Amber showed up to the A-list haunt after gracing the WME pre-Oscar party where ex Elon was attending as well.

‘Amber showed up in the same dress she wore to the WME party for her date with Sean. She looked beautiful and seemed happy, even if she may have avoided a run-in with Elon earlier in the night,’ the source noted.

The ex-wife of Johnny Depp and the tech mogul originally started dating in 2016 but broke up after a year in an acrimonious split.
