You cannot be spending our taxes on useless trips Sammy Gyamfi to Akuffo Addo.

You cannot be in this sluggish  economy and be thinking about luxury and your personal comfort. Ghanaians are suffering therefore you cannot be collecting our taxes and be using that to pay for useless trips.


Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi Ghanaian politician and the current National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress on one one show with Bridget Otoo, tackled the causes of Ghana’s socio economic problems. The protean politician known for veritable opinion said a lot of things of which this article highlights.

To start with the presidential jet is fit for purpose . The presidential jet can be managed. Ghanaians are suffering and that’s where is our focus should be.

The economy is in sluggish and this has contributed to frequent strikes of the government servants. Especially our teachers. Our school children in the basic level don’t have access to basic text books.

Furthermore, our second school system is deactivated. The double track system lacks proper infrastructure to provide conducive environment for learning.

Moreover, quality healthcare delivery has also become a problem. Because there is no access since most hospitals are full to their capacity. And it’s very sad patients now lie on the floor because there are no beds for them.

In addition to this, the youths are screaming fix the country because they want jobs, opportunities and good roads. These are the things the Npp government should concentrate on.

To conclude, the minority has done a lot of laudable things.They saved Ghana from the COVID-19 vaccine scandal. And the government cannot be collecting our taxes in these difficult times and be using that to pay for useless trips said lawyer Sammy Gyamfi.

Scandalous! — Mahama Reacts To Nearly $1m And €300k Sanitation Minister’s Home Theft

Former President John Dramini Mahama has reacted after news of the robbery of the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources broke out.

According to the Chronicle newspaper, two househelps of the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, have allegedly stolen items including, US$1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana cedis from her home.

The robbery happened between July and October 2022.

The accused, 18-year-old Patience Botwe and 30-year-old Sarah Agyei, are facing charges before an Accra Circuit Court.

In a tweet posted on Friday, the former president questioned the minister’s choice to keep such a substantial sum of money at her residence.

“$1m + €300k and millions of GHS in a Ghanaian Minister’s home?
Scandalous!!

Even if genuinely acquired, why keep millions of hard currency at home?
Will @NAkufoAddo ever set a good example for public office holders in his administration?”, he tweed.

Ukraine Says Russian Forces Seize Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant

Russian military forces have seized the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant – Europe’s largest – in Ukraine’s southeast, the regional state administration said on Friday.

“Operational personnel are monitoring the condition of power units,” it said on social media, quoting the Ukrainian nuclear inspectorate. It said efforts sought to ensure the operations were in line with safety requirements.

Ukraine has said Russian forces attacked the plant in the early hours of Friday, setting an adjacent five-story training facility on fire.
